Yeha Temple
Yeha is another historic place adorned with a set of attractive rock-pillars.

Yeha is famous for its huge and remarkable temple. This temple is believed to date back to the 5th century before the birth of Christ. However, according to the 19th Century German scholar Heinrich Miiller, the temple is thought to date back to about seven or eight hundred years before the birth of Christ.

The Monastery of Gunda Gundo
Gunda Gundo is accessed from the town of Edagahamus, 100km after Mekelle. It has an area that lies between a sheer side cliff in the west and an escarpment that drops towards the Afar depression.
From this settlement, a 24km rough road leads to Geblen, a village located on the verge of the escarpment. It houses the monastery of Gunda Gundo, which is set in peculiar land features.

Negash Mosque
Negash, 10 km after Wukro, lies on a plateau commanding a magnificent view of the surrounding area.

Negash got its name from the Tigrinya word (the local language) '' Negash or Negasi'' meaning king. "Nejashi" is an Arabicized variant of the word.
